Capella's Core Values

The choir presents varied repertoire from medieval times to the present day embracing pop styles, jazz, and musical theater in addition to serious art music. 

All members of the chorus share a common love of learning and a pursuit of personal and ensemble

excellence in singing.

All singers, board members, and conductors (regardless of professional rank or experience) are volunteers. We come together for the joy of making music.  

The Organization exists to enrich, support, and participate actively in the Gainesville community and beyond. 

In addition to sturdy musicianship and a passion for learning, each member is expected to be kind and courteous to their colleagues in and out of the choir. 

Capella Nova is an open and affirming organization welcoming of all people regardless of race, socio-economic status, sexual orientation or gender identity.
